This is one of my favourite drinks – it’s not only healthy and tasty, but it doubles up as great pre/post workout drink too! Check it out.
You have to like a drink that has so much of benefits and is very easy to make. It’s packed with goodness and nutrition!
According to WebMD – ‘Beet juice may boost stamina to help you exercise longer, improve blood flow, and help lower blood pressure, some research shows.’
The carbohydrate in the pineapple content fuels your activity, while a compound called bromelain may aid recovery. Pineapple also helps replace your depleted muscle glycogen stores (the stored energy in your muscles) If that’s not reason enough to have this drink, pineapple is also a rich source of the mineral potassium – which aids proper muscle function, and since it is 86 percent water, it will help you rehydrate after your workout.
The apple not only adds to the taste of the drink but has enough carbs to help a workout!
So go ahead, enjoy something that tastes refreshing and will help you achieve your workout goals.
- 1 cup diced pineapple cubes
- 1 apple
- 1/2 beet diced small
- ice cubes
- Place all the ingredients in a juicer or blender and blend. Serve in cups with ice.
